Transportation Dear Valued Neiman Marcus Vendor: Welcome to the Neiman Marcus Transportation and Routing Information Area . The information listed in this area pertains to Neiman Marcus merchandise vendors that provide customer merchandise for our Neiman Marcus Stores. GENERAL INFORMATION Purpose: To efficiently and cost effectively move vendor merchandise to our Consolidators or our Distribution Centers while meeting or exceeding our merchant expectations in regard to time of transit to each of our Divisions (NM Stores, NM Direct, Bergdorf Goodman.) Neiman Marcus generally pays for freight on a collect basis. Except in areas where vendors are located within the Commercial Trade Zones of New York/ New Jersey, Los Angeles, and Dallas. In these areas the vendor is required to pay freight to our Consolidator locations and then Neiman Marcus will be responsible for freight expense to move on to our Distribution Centers and Stores. Our goal at The Neiman Marcus Group is to move your merchandise to our selling floors as quickly as possible. Failure on your part to follow our routing guidelines will in most cases result in delays in your shipment to our facilities. Since The Neiman Marcus Group is paying for freight, routing deviations most often result in additional expense to our company. Deviations from the routing guide will result in chargebacks to your company for failure to follow routing instructions. The Transportation Department acts as an information source for you, our vendors, to use when there are questions on routing for all divisions within The Neiman Marcus Group.
