NMG One Update - September 29, 2016

 

Our new common merchandising system launched on August 28, 2016. It has been a very complex undertaking as we essentially consolidated three legacy, stand-alone inventory management systems. It is not unexpected that we are experiencing normal growing pains.


The teams at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Last Call are working through issues related to purchase orders, merchandising processing, and logistics. We know that you haven’t had as much visibility to your business as we usually provide.


With a project of this scope, challenges were to be expected and most of them have been largely related to programming and data management. We are doing everything possible to continue to resolve them without significant disruption to the business. Please rest assured we are making steady progress.


We ask that you keep in mind that even though temporary challenges are being experienced, NMG One is a huge accomplishment and the culmination of over three years of hard work by hundreds of team members, and the cooperation of our vendor partners. We are confident that once we are through this transition period, the new system will allow us to better serve our customers and improve communication with our vendors. In the meantime, we very much appreciate your patience as we work through this transition.
