In order to consolidate Suppliers within our new Oracle system, NMG developed new reference numbers that will replace the existing NMG DUNS numbers. Beginning in August of 2016, we will be using both Supplier and Supplier Site reference numbers to identify our Suppliers and the existing NMG DUNS numbers will no longer be valid. The Supplier/Supplier Site numbers will be seen in purchase orders, invoices, and communications, and will affect how we plan and analyze our business.
The Supplier number will refer to the number associated with the name of the Supplier. The Supplier Site number will refer to the purchasing or paying location. The Supplier/Supplier Site numbers will allow us to maintain supplier information in the Neiman Marcus Group’s new systems. NMG will need our Suppliers to update all reference to DUNS numbers in their system to their new Supplier/Supplier Site reference numbers. The Suppliers should not use the Supplier/Supplier Site numbers in any production communications before the designated “Go Live” on August 1, 2016.
